We could go on and on about how many movies we watch, about how long we've been in this ruse, and why you should read our reviews. And while we seriously considered taking that very angle, we thought it might be more entertaining (and credible) to do something a little different. We said to ourselves, "How cool would it be to provide a movie review site that features you, the average Dick and Jane movie watcher? After all, who would you rather trust with your movie dollars? A gaggle of blowhard film critics, or other average Dicks like yourself?
Now, here's where you come in. We know you watch movies, and we know you don't like every movie you see, so let everyone else know about it. If you have to suffer through a piece of crap, for the love of Mary, don't make others suffer through it too!
Accompanying every one of our reviews is either a "what-did-you-think-about-this-movie?" poll or a comment box. Let others read your comments or let the poll keep a running count of your vote - direct evidence that your opinion really does count!
If you cast a vote in the poll, you'll notice a comment field under the poll results that allows you to leave a brief comment about that movie. Here's where you leave messages like: This movie sucked!; This movie rocked; Max Kasch is soooooo hot!!!!!; etc. etc.
Additionally, following many reviews is a message forum giving you the opportunity to post your own comments, read comments left by others or ask questions about that particular movie. This forum is moderated so you will always receive a response and remember to watch your language! This message forum is better suited for more detailed comments, questions or insights. Even further evidence that your opinion counts!
If you've always hated film critics and think you can do better yourself, (and you don't mind having your reviews edited for length and/or content), just click on the "submit a review" button at the top of every page and tell the world! It's that simple!
Finally, if none of the above options do anything for you, you can always just send us an e-mail at admin@franksreelreviews.com. We promise you'll get a response in one form or another.
We watch a lot of movies. Way more than we like to admit. On this site, we'll provide you with an unbiased (OK....maybe sometimes we have an ulterior motive) critique of the movie along with some plot discussion, talent commentary and message forums chock-full of comments, observations and trivial tidbits. You'll also notice that we have a unique method of rating movies as well.
We have no studio affiliations, so we won't praise a movie if it sucked and we won't rip a movie just because everyone else liked it. Sure, we have our preferences and our biases, but we promise to keep an open mind and rate a film on its own merits.
